Between H&R coilovers and aftermarket springs and shocks-which has better performance? I know the coilovers are adjustable. But which has better performance benefits? What are pro's and con's of each setup?

...as they usually provide a more matched combo between the shock and the spring versus say H&R Sport springs and Bilstein shocks. However, there are seom spring/shock combos (such as MTM "full" and the Abt spring/shock setup) which are matched and should provide a very good ride if you don't want or need the height-adjustability that coilovers offer.

I know you can adjust these, but how difficult is it to do? Do you have to remove the coilover to do it? are there coilovers for the S4 that you don't have to remove to adjust? and finally, just how adjustable are they? is there a discernable difference?
I'm also assuming you can adjust both ride height and stiffness??
Thanks!
Rian

...they do not offer any sort of external compression or rebound dampening.
Raising or lowering the height involves jacking up the car, removing the wheel and turning the colars with the wrenches that H&R provides. Very simple.
If you want coilovers that offer adjustable dampening, take a look at the new Bilstein PSS9's, although I'm not sure if they are actually available for sale yet.

Bilstein PSS9's from Electrodyne
