Default Question about driveline - how sloppy is your driveline?

I have a DTS, but in pretty much every gear (obviously lower gears being worse) I have a decent amount of slop, meaning when I get on and off throttle there is a pull on the driveline. There are no noise associated with this pull, or surge, but it's quite annoying when coming into a corner or something and letting off the throttle to brake, and then getting back on the throttle coming out of the corner.

I drove my GF's mom's 325i and it had absolutely none of this, I could even get off and on throttle in 1st with no surging. Why is the S4 so sloppy?

Default Just got an '01.5 Imola w/ DTS...

to replace the "total" of my former '01.5 Black s4. The Black s4 didn't have a DTS. The Imola shifts much smoother with MUCH LESS slop. Although it might still have some reminence of rubberiness, but I think a short shifter would solve that.

Point being: DTS eliminates much of the drivetrain slack/slop but nothing is perfect. Improved 90%.

OT: which would you rather have, if forced to make a choice between the sway bar and DTS?

Default rear diff mount?

I have the same problem and it's the rear diff rubber mount. I can move it up and down by hand very easily.
