question about light scratches. . .anything better than finesse it II?
i am noticing more and more light scratches on my santorin. i can only see them from certain angles, but they really bother me.
i have tried imperial hand glaze as well as finesse it II for dark colors, but that doesn't seem to be working.
I even bought a cyclo random orbital to apply the glaze, but still no luck.
what would be the next step in getting rid of these. the scratches seem really light, but nothing seems to take them out?
i definately don't want to damage the paint, but there has to be something a little stronger to try.
Thanks,
rodney

To help in the future. Always go back and forth on dark cars on and off with waxes, pre cleaners etc. Never in circles. I have used body clay on surface of car before. Depends on depth of your scratches?

I am giving you a product. It is called Clay magic. You can get different grades. I use fine. You should be able to get it at auto parts store. If not try an auto paint store.

DON'T USE A MECHANICAL BUFFER. That could be what's doing it. Use 3M IHG up to 3 times per pannel.
Put it on in circular motions, but remove it in one direction, front to back. Then use a good polish, applied and removed in one back and forth direction only. I have Santorin and prefer P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser. Then use a good carnuba wax (skip the polymer waxes). Two high quality waxes with unparalleled depth of shine are P21S Concours Look Carnuba Wax, and One Grand Blitz Wax. Email me if you want more advise, but you can DEFINITELY get rid of swirls. JUST DON'T USE AN ELECTRIC BUFFER. Do it by hand only.

Your correct about the circular motion. Your eye only sees scratches when view perpendicular to the
scratch. That's why circular scratches are visible from all directions. If you go in one direction, and you happen to scratch the car, it will be less visible.
