What is the best way to remove the little retention clip on the bottom of the strut tower. Also, on the rears (started w/ the fronts) where are the mounting bolts located for the upper shock mount? Are they accessable from outside the car or must I do it from inside (I really hope not).
Thanks,
Thanks,

Unbolt the upper spring perch from the strut tower. Don't remove the 3 big bolts. There are 2 13mm nuts that lie in between the triangle formed by those 3 big bolts.

kind of situated between those 3-16mm bolts under the hood are two plastic/rubber caps. If you pry those out, they reveal 2-13mm nuts. If you remove those, then the upper control arms won't need to be removed from the car, which means that nasty retaining clip will stay put.
The rear shocks are all accessed from outside the vehicle, no need to go inside.
