Default Question about the Toyguy V1 display

So I bought one of these used and went to install it earlier today. I have the V1 hardwired into the car with the module tucked away into the fuse block.

I plugged the toyguy display into the accessory port on the V1 module. Nothing seemed to happen, the V1 main unit was still lit and the concealed display was dark.

Isn't this the opposite of what's supposed to happen? Isn't the main unit supposed to go dark and the concealed display light up when I plug it into the accessory port?

What's the deal here? Anything I should be checking out, or is this thing broken?

What wiring? There's just the connector from the toyguy display.

Default Sounds like it's broken. Either that or the accessory connection is broken. Have you checked that

against another remote display to make sure that works?

Default I plugged the main unit into the accessory port and it didn't work

but I don't know if that's because that's the wrong way to install it, or the accessory port is broken. The accessory port has never been used, so I don't know why it'd be broken.

grab a different chunk of phone line and try again, otherwise it's probably the display

Default There's no way to replace the phone cord out of the toyguy display, it's

soldered into the board...

Default Try this...

use the cig lighter adaptor. On one side there is a plug for the accessory item...plug the toyguy display into that, and see if that works.

My cig lighter adapter doesn't have an accessory port on it...
