So i was driving today and my clutch felt like it slipped. Well this happened to my last s4 and it was 2400 to replace. I really dont feel like telling my dad that i wore down another one and that im goin to need a loan to pay for it. I dont know how this happened because the car only has 65k miles on it and i rarely drove it hard. Could it being getting worn out because the car has 330hp and 350+ ft/lb of torque? I didnt know if that could be a factor towards it or not.PLEASE HELP!!!

i had my factory stock clutch on my car for over 100,000 miles and it worked great for stg 2 power. slipped sometimes and i beat on that thing like no other. i mean i launched and power shifted on that thing countless number of times and it still worked great until i finaly replaced it for the rs4 clutch a month ago.
if youve been hard on it recently maybe just take it easy for a little while, the disk could just be glazed over a little bit and it should go back to normal after some easy driving.
btw nice looking ride

especially if you suck at teh rowing. Listen to Nye - sell the car if you can't afford repairs - its a great car but its not worth going broke over.
If you're very very careful, a clutch on a chipped car might hold up as long as stock, but I doubt anyone has that kind of restraint.

expensive but it does not cost that much. Last I looked it was $700 including parts.

if you could find someone to install the clutch for under 1000 is a steal. but then again, you get what you pay for.
