Question for tracking stock S4...
#11
You dont need a big brake package!!! I track all the time!!! The stock s4 brakes are huge as is.....
All you need is some Super Blue race fluid, and some hawk hps or hawk hp plus pads and you will not experience a bit of fade. Also consider getting some slotted rotors, ecs makes a pretty decent set for something like 198 dollars.

all depends on the length of the straights on the course, and how you drive IMO....
if you're looking to get every single mph out of every straight and turn, the biggest limiting/safety factor is the brake pads. You'll cook em. Not good.
If you're more concerned with honing your turning skills and practicing braking points without trying to be an R8, and you don't go for top speed on every straight, you'll be more than fine.
I just did Road ATL with old S03 tires and Hawk HPS STREET pads on oem rotors that have 65k miles on them, with fresh Motul 5.1 fluid. Limiting my speed on the straights somewhat, I never once felt unsafe. It's all up to the driver!

looks ok, having the distances would be better...
the long straight at Road ATL is ~5000 feet, which is enough, if exiting the previous turn well and standing on it for all its worth until a last-second braking point, for probably 125-130mph in a stock S4. That'll kill stock brakes after 3 laps.
The track you'll be at looks smaller and more technical, which is GREAT for learning. Just, like I said, start at a certain (albeit low) threshold that you're comfortable with, and work UP from there. Keep ESP DISABLED the whole time. That may sound scary, but if you start with lower speeds and concentrate on turning points, your speeds will increase and then you'll start to feel the limits and know where they are. Don't worry, ESP is never fully OFF. If you're on the brakes and the car starts doing funny stuff, ESP brings it back in.
Have a BLAST!

yeah. it's a great learning track... I didn't get faster than 80-90Mph in GTI... more inside
The hardest braking point is corner 1 after a long stretch. With GTI, I was at around 130-140Km/hr (4th gear) and you have to bring it down to around 50Km/hr (2nd grar) to take the corner, then the next hard braking is at turn 3, I would have to bring it from around 90-100Km/hr down to about 60Km/hr to take that (all in 2nd gear).
Overall, you cannot make the car go too fast as corners come to you fast. You are mostly in 2nd to 3rd gear, only from turn 9 to 1, you are mostly in forth.
