Default Quick ? on factory alarm in 01 S4

For an insurance app, what are the factory alarm features?

I'm thinking the checkbox for "Passive Alarm" and either "Passive Fuel Cutoff" or "Passive Multi-Component Cut Off Switch"

Default Yes, but like gramps alluded to, it's part of the passive alarm system.

Shouldn't matter too much for insurance...I never figured out why they wanted all those details and then just give you a rate based on the overall class the car is in anyway.

Default Well, I know you're always able to get some kind of crazy insurance deal, but...

...if there's anyone around like me, I always have terrible luck with stuff like that. I remember when I moved to Jersey and was filling out all the insurance applications, being so carelful to point out the four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, ESP, quattro, zillion airbags, etc and then the quotes would still come back as OUTRAGEOUS. It's my opinion that the S4 is in a performance category and it doesn't matter what little safety gadgets they have. That's why I have a difficult time believing that just because you added a few DIY anti-theft mods that your insurance company would care. I'm pretty sure all they care about is the stock alarm system and possibly anything that you can prove you had professionally installed and is superior. But, I've never known you to be a fibber, so I'll take your word for it. Will be interested to hear the details at the next MNC meet.
