Quick question for Eric Fletcher...
why do you bother dude? What happened to this forum? There doesn't seem to be able to be an intelligent discussion about something technical without a lot of name calling and threats. Why do you bother with these kids?
I see maybe 3 or 4 posters from a year ago and the rest are newbies who keep rehashing the same info from last year with the added spin of being threatened by you actually knowing what you are talking about and responding to a question with a swear word or an insult?
This forum isn't even that fun to troll any more

Oh...no...sorry...
not that NOBODY here knows what they're talking about enough to have a dialogque...what has happened is that in about 70 threads, about 10 of them are intelligent attempts to discuss or even debate the answer and the remaining 60 are just stupid and worthless posts.

hmm...
remember Jim D and that era of guys? Once they stopped posting, virtually everything they knew and posted was lost and forgotten. Unfortunately this forum completely forgets what was done by people in the past and the in-grained stupid pet-snake-oil BS in the automotive world is going to survive despite the best efforts of people who actually TEST things.
It's a shame...this place used to be a good read and some of the old trolls were better posters than some of the "S4 owners" here.

And what do I get? No responds.. not even a lame try and trying to start a discussion. Only Eric had the ***** or the time to teach me something. When Nasa left, I was about to quite AW. Lucky Eric is here or else there isn't anything to learn anymore.
The bottonline is.. NO BODY knows **** here and when someone knows something, NO BODY has the ***** to admit it and try to learn.

I agree, the phrase "oops I was wrong" seems beyond some of these guys...
it's okay to be mistaken or MAKE a mistake but to argue something that you don't know anything about to the death is just rediculous.

I agree, The lack of knowledge and understanding is at a minimum right now....
At least a few of the other boards can carry a decent conversation and talk about the cars.
