Default Quick question- two tranny drain plugs?

About to do a tranny fluid change. Underneath the car I see three drain plugs- one in front, one in back, and one in the middle between the catalytic converters. Are the firt two both for the tranny? Whats the middle one for? Sorry, I don't have a manual.

Default Its the two on the bottom. One is going to be under the fill plug and the other is the next back

on the diff. I'm not sure where youre getting 3 from.

Unless youre thinking of the oil drain plug and if thats the case put down the wrench and take it somewhere.

I can find a pic if youre still not sure

When I was saying three, I was includiong the one for the rear diff. So, theres one on the rear diff (for rear differential), one by the fill plug, and then the middle one, between the cats, is taht also a tranny drain plug

Default Here's the write URL with pics!

Other notes:
-there is another drain bolt in the center back by o2 sensors that is not in the write up
-the author also recommends "motul gear 300" as the OEM replacement<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc32.shtml">Click me!</a></li></ul>

Default Damn! What a coincidence! I was gonna ask this very same question! I STFA'd and figured it out

I changed mine today with Motul Gear 300 and did the rear with Mobil One 75w/90.

Default Also, make certain you can remove the fill plug *before* you drain anything. This way you know

you'll be able to actually fill it up after draining it!
