But really, no one says you have to build a motor. If you wanted to go that route, I'd stick in 2554R's or 2560R's which has awesome response and would be great on a stock engine (as long as you keep the boost low). Thing is, if you want to make power, you need at least rods which is what I did. Same goes with RS6's on race gas. Take into consideration my car is a daily driver. I want to be able to make pants-pooping power without having to worry about tweaking a rod or punching a hole through the block.

And fwiw, VAST's GT car did a best of 2.78 FATS (correct me if I'm wrong, looking at the VAST logs I have) and was running Sunoco 104 octane with way more timing in the midrange, while I'm running pump gas and methanol with only 15-20 degree in the mid-range. I'll be running more timing once a fail-safe is installed for meth.

2.65 FATS on pump gas and meth is not too shabby, especially when you consider the potential for race gas and crazy timing. Something worth considering is the 3.3 second 60-100 I pulled in the same run

From speaking to greg he was runing his car on Stock engine, stock heads runing 23PSI MAX. just bolted on ASP GT28 Kit, Ebay FMIC, HE still had ASP Cats and a ASP Catback, NO Meth just pure 93 Octane. Stock Bipipes, Stock Intake Components. Stock battery, full interior (stock), NO carbon fiber hood
