Quick! What oil, viscosity and oil filter should I use?

0W-30 or 0W-40. (5W is ok too). 15W is too thick.
2002 specs. Probably a good idea to follow for previous years considering the S4s delicate turbos.

Depends where and how you run the car...
If you live in a cold climate, cold starts are a concern, so 0W30 or 0w40 is a good choice. If you track the car on a roadcourse 15W50 may be too thin.
I stick with 10W30 in the summer and 5w30 in the winter.
As for the difference between 0w30 and 0w40 if you look at the viscosity ratings the high temp difference is very small and probably insignificant.
As for oil I know single digit timeslip turbo car racers that buy their oil for $.99 per quart in a supermarket. I personally use Amsoil synthetic but I have never seen proof that I'm not wasting my money.
