Default R&T says the B6 S4 has 60/40 torque bias for the FRONT / rear.

Is this a typo? The Skyline, Lambo, 911 TT & C4S, and BMW systems all have rear-biased AWD systems. I do not understand the logic behind a front-biased system. Thoughts?

PS I know Haldex equipped cars have a front-biased system but they are 100/0 by default, no?

It uses a Torsen center diff. which has inherent 50/50 bias.

A Torsen doesn't HAVE to be 50/50 though right?

You're right, and it doesn't make sense. Wait for more info from a *reliable* source.

Default I personally think it's a typo.

I think they confused the weight distribution numbers with the Torsen split numbers.

Maybe 60/40 just gives it the handling Audi wants? *shrug*

Default That's what I think...

Remember, they tune for the "masses". I'm going to go ahead and go on record as saying I think that bias report will be found to be accurate.

We'll see.

Cheers,
