Default do you run PFC?

i never asked you about pads. From all the stuff I've run, I like the Pagid's so far. I might try Ferodo next, not sure yet.

Default I used to run pagids... now: PFC-01 front with a Hawk HPS of all things in the rear.

Was running PFC-97's in the rear then switched to the Hawks on Stoptech's recommendation (after switching some other stuff around I was slightly overbiased in the rear).

I absolutely love the PFC-01's in the front. When that "laythe" sensation reverbs throughout the whole car you KNOW that the brakes are working

Default i'm mixed on the SBS I have in the front now...

...they are grippy, and have good bite, but I get this grindy action and I can't keep them bedded. But that may just be too many different pads on the same set of rotors.

I'll be setting out to destroy them at Pahrump, I should need new discs after that.

Default That's exactly what you should be feeling...

the way to bed a very abrasive pad like that is to actually drive it on the STREET. The pad literally scrapes the rotor clean of prior pad material THEN you can bed it in.

Do you run the OE brakes on your car or the Alcon stuff?

Default alcon's on a 13" disc...

I've been street driving, you can still see blotchiness on the face like they're just not quite bedded yet.

If i go beat them on the highway (120-90 repeated stops), they bed in fine and hold, but only for a day or so of normal driving then they start getting blotchy again and the grindy grindy comes back.

We'll see, the track event should help get them hot and bothered, we'll see how they do after that.

Default Thankfully, he's still thousands of miles away. :-)

I know he's signed up for Mid Ohio, but I don't know what else, if anything.

Default I know it would be an investment, but it might be worth ordering & stocking them.

Everyone now knows how great they are, and I'm sure some of the stock brake guys who have been resisting BBKs would be interested, given the dearth of pad options.

But then you'd be stuck fronting the money, keeping them in inventory, etc. Maybe a group-buy?

Default nice setup.

You should be able to do a little damage at Pahrump although I don't remember it being excessive on brakes.
