Default I raced my friend's S2000 on a highway from 40 MPH.

As I remember, (and I was stock back then) it was tight for a little bit. And as soon as he hit VTEC, it was over. He just started pulling away. It happened pretty quickly so I don't remember all the details or everything pretty accurately but I know that he took me.

It's a very nice car. And on the highway, where you can really let it loose, the S2000 can strut its stuff.

Default What year is your car? How many miles were on the clock when you raced?

Just for my info.

Default They have a sweet shifter IMO. I'm just not a big fan of the little motor, high rev thing. :)

I need a even helping of torque with my horsepower. :-p

Default Yeah, looks real good in my rear view on the highway. ;-p Just kidding.

I've seen a couple with some nice wheels, lowered. Very sharp looking.

Default I have a 01 and I had about 12000 miles on it.

I read your post about being ahead. And that has me rubbing my head. I know driver is a huge factor but I have to tell you, I knew his car would be fast but the way he started pulling away really shocked me. If I remember correctly, it was kinda hot and a bit muggy (I'm not sure though) and my car really seems to loose ALOT of oomph during conditions like that.

Default You know, there are varying degrees of performance between each brand.

Some will run better than others. I might have raced a weaker S2000 and you might have ran a stronger one....who knows. I have noticed that S4s vary in performance. My car (to me) was a freak of the factory. Somebody took some extra time putting the car together or something....it was real fast for being stock. So many people would say I was lying about being stock when I beat them. I mean, I use to pull on my friends cars who ran 100-102 thru the 1/4 on the highway from a 40punch. It was crazy. I was happy though, but it was strange how fast the car was stock.
