Default Radio Head -- Does anyone know the difference between a Bose and non-Bose head?

I had 2 Bose radios changed this week. Niether of the new ones says Bose on boot-up. Are they different part numbers, or is there a code to enter or a switch on the head? TIA

Default Its a bit set in the software coding, thats all. Anyone with a VAG tool can fix it...

Although I'd consider myself lucky, lots of people go out of their way to shut the "Bose" feature off -- you get better sound without it.

Thanks. However, after setting my EQ, I think it sounds better, esp. on classical.
