Ran into a 300HP WRX today...
I'm thankful it was in a parking lot and not on the road! The car had almost $10K in mods including brakes, wheels, suspension, intercooler, boost control, intake, exhaust, etc. The car was blue with the spoiler and looked very sharp (although a bit ricey). The owner was actually a nice older guy who was at our dealership (MBZ) looking at an SLK 32. He really is enjoying the WRX so far and is awaiting a few more parts to take the car to 325HP on the stock turbo! He's hitting about 17lbs of boost at this point with the stock clutch also. I imagine this thing would whoop a stock S4 and easily run with a chipped S4. Oh, well, it's still a tinny little Subaru, right?

An S4 will beat that car
All you have to do is do a few runs. He will absolutely ruin you on those. But not too long after that, you will beat him. Trust me, they aren't that quick after they strip 2nd gear.

Yep, it will pull from a stock S4. I'm chipped and ran away from one on Friday

BTW, the guy I met said anything over 16 PSI will throw a CEL b/c its too lean.
the boost controller doesn't increase fuel flow so more air + same fuel = lean.
The dealer freaked on him when they saw his mods. Said he'd blow the engine. He laughed at told them about the WRX STI in Japan and the dealer promptly walked away - a bit pissed off I guess
