ran my buddies DINAN M3...
my good friend has a 1999 DINAN M3 (chip, exhaust, throttle body, mass air sensor, etc... everything but the blower) and I am APR stage II+, so from 4th gear, we see open road and both drop to third and hammer on it... I instantly pull a car length ahead and had I stayed on the throttle, the gap would have been tremendous... but this was not the right place. so next, we line up at a red light, he revs at me, neither of us launch, but we roll off in first gear, I hear his loud *** exhaust, he is going for it, so I hammer it down, pull back for second, look to my side and he is behind me, I let second ride out, push into third and keep my foot down... I can see him in my rear view... I let off and hit the break. So we get to our destination, and his remarks: "when I get the new M3, it won't be a race" ... he says the new M3 is SO much faster and that I didn't have him by that much... umm... a full car length by 25 mph is pretty damn severe. anyway, just thought I would share

owned one myself, with everything done...
freakin' incredible car, exceptional in every way... shame the thing started rattling and getting expensive on me. but hands down... E36 is no match.
