Ran a Syclone last nite
I had a few runs with this truck last nite... http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15303&highlight=Wisconsin . He has a pretty extensive setup: 25psi, Alky injection and big turbo. We did couple of 2nd - 3rd gear pulls I was shifting poorly but it was a good race, I think I could take him up top. Has anyone else encounted these things? He launched it and it really moves from a dig. FYI My current setup is a vast stage 3 set @ 18psi.

I have a bone stock Syclone...
...and on a cold night, it's about dead nuts to a Stage II+ S4 all the way to about 5500 RPM, where the truck loses steam. If you could get that truck, with that setup up top, it's not running right. There are a couple of 8.5ish second ones around my area.

What were ambient temperatures...
Unless it was warm and humid, (which Syclones are particularly susceptable to), I'd say his truck wasn't up to snuff if you could have gotten him that easily...
...but I could be wrong. Mine is bone stock. It's gonna stay that way as long as I own it, too. At this point there are less than 500 of them left, and they're a one year piece of history that's pretty fast for a 15 year old production vehicle.
