Default Ran through some sort of trench road workers left without putting out any signs ...

so now I have symptoms of one or more bent rims. Are there any rims stronger than the stock ones out there?

The incident happened a week ago and it was raining so I did not see it coming at all. I went back the next day to take some pictures and there was a bunch of fresh pavement right where it happened. Thanks Manchester, CT.

Get the city to pay for it, they are responsible for that...

Default Depends on the city, up here they have to have

been notified at least once before they are at fault. "well, if no one told us we couldnt fix it" type of thing.

Default A friend of mine drove his red porsche in Glastonbury and got yellow lane-paint splattered all...

over his driver side panels. The construction folks forgot to leave a sign to warn about the work (they left a sign where the work ended, but not where it began). Long story short, it took him forever to get the claim settled. He had to pay out of pocket and wait forever until it was partially settled.

Sorry to hear. Good luck.

Default happend to my brother a while back in Cheshire

we sued the town and got reimbursed for tire replacement (got 4 new tires while 2 were blown out). In his case there was construction and a storm drain was raised above the pavement w/out signs or markers. the day after he called the police from the scene of the blowout there were several signs. take pictures asap of the area as well as the damage and file a complaint w/ the town.

Where in manchester?

Default I haven't had time to get the wheel runout measured yet. Last time this happened, ...

I borrowed a friends dial indicator and measured the runout on my winter rims (mille mglia) of which one ended up with 0.075 spot which was very noticeable.

Last time I inquired about pothole damage they said to send them the bill, which makes things a bit complicated as I need to find rims to replace my damaged ones and have a proper receipt for the cost. I'd be happy if they covered the cost of used rims in decent shape, but you almost have to go out and buy new stuff to be able to submit a bill.

I'll post a picture of where the dirt was removed from my rim as the tire folded over it.
