I'm getting this funny feeling that the B5 S4 is not making the power that it should.

Default You sure that B5 w/ the 302whp was on pump gas? I have a funny feeling it was on

higher than 93 octane. The X chip makes power, but it's not making 80whp more than stock on pump gas.

I do have a funny feeling that MasterBlaster might not have been as faster as other at the same stage....but I know at Stage II+, the B6 was not coming to get me. He was still falling back. ;-) Then again, he was on 91 octane...that **** does hurt us a bit...and if it's cali 91 octane...ewww.

Default Sometimes, significant power loss can't be felt.

Not saying anything is wrong with your car though. A WHILE back (2002), I thought my car was running pretty good but I was getting pulled by some cars I know should pull me....especially with me on race/prgm. I went to the strip to see if the car would run the times like it use to. When everything was good back then, I would run 13.1s @ 104.....well, when I went, the best i could get was a 13.9 @ 99 on race gas/prgm. That's stock like numbers. No good. There were a couple issues with the car I didn't really know at the time. Ended up being a bad F-hose, MAF and I think something else IIRC. Once all that was taken care of, back to 13.1s again @ 104.

I feel for you though. That 91 craptane isn't nice.

Default I'll for sure get the VAG out this week and see if the MAF is starting to go...

Other than that I don't know. MTM F-hose, APR bi-pipe, and no funny bypass valve noises. When I first got bought the car used the MAF was only at 190 g/s stock and I didn't know until I got my VAG-COM 6 months later. No codes, engine light or anything. Maybe that's happening agin, as I replaced it over a year ago.
I know it's not as fast as when I was running toluene to 94 all the time. When I go stage 3 I'll get back to that all the time.

Default I've seen the results. It's just odd that his car if it's just a catback and chip on pump gas

made atleast 25hp more than any other known X chip Stage 2 car to dyno on pump gas. That dyno has numbers very close to what we dyon here. I've seen those kind of numbers from Stage 2 cars on race gas, not pump gas. I'm not saying his car didn't do it....but it's just very high compared to any other car that dynoed that day.

You don't think it's odd to gain +80whp from just a chip on pump gas programming and cat-back? If that was pump gas then man....He's the man making that kind of power from just a chip and cat-back.
