I STFA but everyone who has my code also has a bunch of others.
I got a *single* code today: "16684 random/multiple cylinder misfire".
My plan is to swap out the plugs because mine are old, and I have a set of new ones sitting around.
But I'm wondering why I'd get multiple misfires. I figure one plug will go bad first, and I'd see a misfire in that cylinder only. Is that right? If so, that means plugs, EGTs, and coil packs aren't it. Maybe the MAF? Maybe the FPR?

good for now. If the code comes back, I'll log as suggested by Doc Slow Mini Person.
BTW, if the plugs aren't the issue, how long would it take for the code to come back? Is it some number of engine starts, miles, time?
Thanks.
