Most of us knew of this problem with the RE040's before we picked up our cars. The posts on this site were numerous. I remember asking the salesman if I could choose tires... He said no, it was random. I had a sidewall go at 250 miles. The second at 5000 miles. I believe this is a generally crappy tire. If anyone else here has has problems with the RE040 (and I know the S4 camp at large has) take the time to fill out the questionaire.
