Is this really a coolant sensor?
Someone sold me this saying it was the Euro replacement for my coolant temp sensor. Well, I removed the existing temp sensor and noticed they don't look anything like eachother. Furthermore the wiring clip doesn't fit.
So what the heck did this guy sell me and if it is a temp sensor, how do you get it to work?

Looks like the after-run temp sensor, on other side of water manifold.
Coolant temp sensor is on the opposite side and will either be black(original) or green(superceeded/updated part) with 4 pins.
Think the one you have is the VW VR6 sensor that lowers the after-run turn-on temp on our cars.
