Rear brake upgrade...opinions..
Hey all, come down to two options for the rear brake upgrade, first is going to S8 rotors/spacers...which I believe costs 480 if these prices are still good:
The S8 part numbers again (rotor: 8E0 615 301B, ($80.84 list); carrier: 4D0 615 425C, ($146.60 list)):
Second option is the ECS stage 1 rear kit for 700.
My question is cosmeticly the ECS would probably look better and it's only 200 more really. However, if I could find the S8 parts cheaper elsewhere (i.e. 300 or less for both rotors and spacers) that would probably be better.
Does anyone know where I can get these parts a tad cheaper? I checked classifieds and nothing popped up.
Any help/opinions would be appreciated.

What are you hoping to accomplish by the rear brake upgrade? Performance or Apearance?
Rear brakes don't do a whole lot on our cars... I've read many people using a aggressive BBK up front, with a quality rotor and pad on the stock rear brakes...

Answers to those questions would help.
I went with slotted OEM rotors (DBA from Tantrumwerks) and more aggressive pads at the track - seems to work well, and it wasn't at all expensive.

the "spacers" for S8 rears are not wheel spacers, they are flat washers that space the carrier from
the spindle.
I have the S8 rears, if you don't like tinkering, then go with a kit. This is NOT direct plug and play. Close, but not direct.

Both really....
I want more stopping power because I don't feel the stocks ones are up to par...and a big brake kit in the front would probably solve all my problems, but in the rear those 10" discs look like crap with my 19" rims.

More stopping power, more rear bias, no judder from overheated rear (BBK fronts) improved looks....
Actually slightly too much rear bias with Stoptech 332 fronts, but not a problem as ABS stops them from locking. Huge increase in stopping power.CHEAP!!
