Default rear main seal isn't leaking, but should I replace anyways?

the motor and tranny are apart and the seal looks good with no signs of leakage. The car has 70k miles on it. Should I replace it just incase or would It have failed by now if it is going to fail?

Default Why not? Saves you alot in labor and its not too expensive.

More of a preventitive thing but it gives you peace of mind. I will be replacing mine when my motor comes out :-)

Default I have had 3 done, if it's clean, no leak, leave it (my opinion)

The risk of not installing the replacement right and thus having leaks and thus making your Flywheel and clutch useless is not worth it.

2nd... but if you decide to do it... use the proper seal installer tool (so that it's done right)
