Replacing my rear main seal...when taking the old one off, it looked like there was some rubbery sealant from previous one. New one mounts a lot more close to bottom...do I need to use some of that sealant to make sure it seals perfectly?
If so- what did you guys use?
Thanks

It's something like $15/tube but works great. You can also try the old trick of sticking the seal flange in the freezer for 5 minutes to shrink it down slightly.
