Default Rear wheel alignment MESSED UP!

Hey guys, I just got my S4 aligned due to some inner tire wear on the back two tires. I brought it in and asked them to adjust the camber. Before I brought it to this shop it drove straight and perfect except for some tire wear after 12,000 miles in the rear. When I got it back, they told me that the rear adjusters were maxed out and they had to adjust the toe in the back because of this so now my RR back tire is pointing towards the left front of my car and the LR tire is almost straight ahead. Now when I drive the steering wheel has to be constantly pulled to the left or my car will track right horribly. I took it back to the shop and they told me that they would not cover anything because it is lowered. BTW I have eibach springs and stock 17" wheels on 225/45/ZR17 Falken Azenis. By my calculations the factory adjustments in the back should be sufficient since my car is NOT that low. Any suggestions on aftermarket rear camber kits, and something to adjust the toe? Or any competent shops in SOCAL Victorville area? And the shop did not give me any readings before or after. PLEASE HELP!!!

I know that, but what suggestions do you have about getting it aligned and not eating up tires? I don't know og anyone who makes one and WMS said that the factory adjustments would be enough... Now I'm lost..

Default How much is the car lowered?...

IF it is lowered one inch or less, there is sufficient adjustment to bring the rear toe and camber safely within specs. As of late, I refuse to take my car anywhere for an alignment, because it always comes back worse than it went in.

Can you verify that the rear toe is off? If so, you can demand that it be repaired, free of cost. I have had this happen once before, and went through a set of tires in less than two months, because the rear toe was so far off. I didn't ask for tires, because they were not new when I got the car aligned.

Another option you have is to take it somewhere that knows their stuff, and have it aligned properly with a "before" and "after" print out. Afterwards, take that back to the first shop, and tell them to pay for your second alignment. If they refuse, tell them you are willing to talk to the Better Business Bureau (if that exists in your area).

The rear toe and camber must be set properly, otherwise, it is almost dangerous to drive this car. On my car, it was uncontrollable in the snow (couldn't drive it in a straight line at speeds over 50MPH).

Not sure what the drop is, I will measure the fender to ground clearance today. This shop wont warranty anything because the car is lowered and they made me sign a release of warranty because of it. I screwed myself. I am not aware of any shops locally that can work on this vehicle so what would you suggest: Setting it to what is was before and buy new tires, or try to find a rear camber kit?

Default Re: which shop is this ?

It is T&C Tires (Town and Country) They were recommended to me. I think I am going to get Nitto Neo-gens, and have another shop re-align it at least so it drives straight down the road..
