Reasonble price for new S4?
What would be a good price for a new s4? The dealer wants to sell to me for 42,980- black, sixspeed, premium, cold, and sport package? That is marked up above msrp?

Hmmm, actually, the number you have seems a bit high. According to the audi website, you should be around $41,745 plus any dealer handling... which shouldn't be much more than a few hundred.
Anything over $40k and the dealer is still making a hefty profit... So offer $39.5 or $40, the worst that can happen is they say no.
Still though, if you want the car, you want the car and a few grand isn't much in relation to the total price of the car. I went in expecting to pay full MSRP but still negotiated $1000 off because I was insured with Farmers (they have prenegotiated rates for most new cars)
