have more than 10k miles on them and they still squeal sometimes, but mostly when damp and cold.

mine started squealing after a few thousand miles of city driving...they get glazed over.
if that doesnt work go to your local autoparts store and get some goop. (i think its called "brake quiet")
Here's the stuff i used liberally applied to the back of my new mintex pads:
(you really only need to apply it to the places that make contact to the caliper)

the pads might not have "anti squeal shims". that will help alot. Do that and rebed them after words.
some cheap stuff from NAPA or similar will work. best 2 bucks you can spend.
