Default Can that be applied to old pads? (i.e. will it still be effective?) My Mintex pads

have more than 10k miles on them and they still squeal sometimes, but mostly when damp and cold.

Where can I get some of this anti-squeal stuff?

Default sure. if your mintex are squealing you might want to try rebedding them.

mine started squealing after a few thousand miles of city driving...they get glazed over.

if that doesnt work go to your local autoparts store and get some goop. (i think its called "brake quiet")

Here's the stuff i used liberally applied to the back of my new mintex pads:

(you really only need to apply it to the places that make contact to the caliper)

Default yeah, when you installed teh pad you should put some antisqeual paste on teh back sides...

the pads might not have "anti squeal shims". that will help alot. Do that and rebed them after words.

some cheap stuff from NAPA or similar will work. best 2 bucks you can spend.

Default that sounds like the pad material it's so hard ..so that squales

the spray/solution thing can only bring it down a bit .
