Default Replaced a bad maf sensor, now my boost peaks about 2psi less than before

Coincidence, or could a properly functioning maf sensor cause a lower boost situation? I have an MBC/N75 parallel set up, and before the new maf I saw a peak of 17psi. I suppose it's possible that the MBC spring has fatigued a tiny bit just as I replaced the maf. I also plan to check for a boost leak, though I'm not hearing anything out of the ordinary.
