Come on! Why is it this retarded?
So I replaced the central locking module. Key's transmitter doesn't work now, obviously. So I went through the tech articles reprogramming procedure without luck. I checked the archives for supplimental information, found plenty, nothing works.
Going 2 clicks forward on ignition first at least gets the cars lights to blink once when I click the button on the key in the drivers door. That's as far as I get, though.
Any help is appreciated.
I even went this route via someones posts on here:
"I then tried turning the key in the ignition to the 'on' position (two clicks), not just one click towards the 'on' position. As soon as I did that, it worked. However, to recode both remotes, I had to press the unlock button twice for the first remote (neither remote worked at first), and then repeat the procedure for the second remote, pushing the unlock button only once the second time (one remote was working at that point). As soon as I did that, it worked."
No luck

After I manually lock, I do the unlock and lock button procedure, the lights flash once each time... when I take the key out of the door and press the buttons the lights will flash once each time but won't do anything.
WEIRDER, it will do that only for a few seconds and then won't do it again unless I go through the whole procedure again.

To program the remote functions on a new key, get in your car with the car off and the driver side window rolled down.
insert the new key into the ignition
insert your other key in the driver side door lock (outside the car)
turn the key in the door towards lock and hold it there
while it is held towards lock, press the unlock button on your new remote for
2 seconds.
let go
press it again for 2 seconds
let go and you should hear the pump run.
That's it! Worked for me!
Now, the windows don't go up and down by remote as they used to. Ideas?
