Normal. Supposedily tapered for on-coming traffic.

Default Ah, mine is solid in that space. Get it on a garage door or some other flat surface for reference...

Are these lights new? Maybe dirt/condensation?

bulbs came from old ones, euros went on yesterday (brand new)

hmmm... yeah, mine don't look like that either. swap the bulbs, see if it follows?

Default Did you put the bulb in upside down?

There is a specific orientation of the bulb in the housing. If you install it upside down, it will look fuzzy...

Default you'd think, but many people have done this. i think the beam pattern is way more wacky then

that when it happens, though.

Not true.. it's very easy to put the HID bulb in upside down.. CHECK IT
