Default Repost: Need help with Tie Rod Install disaster...=/

So I got around to doing the passenger side Tie Rod install (Both tie rods are shot.)When removing the passenger side Tie rod, I should have marked the old tie rod where it was set but I thought there would be rust marks that I would be able to see...but to my surprise, there wasn't. So I kinda estimated where it would be...So now my alignment is still fine, however, when going straight, my steering wheel position looks like i'm making a right turn. That being said, which way do I have to turn the tie rod in order to correct this? Yes, I'm a nooooooob! TIA

assuming alignment is fine, lengthen driver's side, shorten passenger side

Default Dood... it's not a disaster... short of having an alignment, there's nothing you can do about it..

That should be expected ahead of time...

Default Alignment is not fine...

Not sure why it's tracking straight, but you really need an alignment to get it right, or you're going to chew through tires, even if the car is tracking straight.

Temporarily, spin the pass side tie rod *into* the inner tie rod (turn it clockwise). Odds are the pass wheel is toe'd in excessively, and when the wheel is 90 degrees to the right, the left and right toe are somewhat matched, hence you're able to go straight.

Might take a couple passes to get it right...once the wheel is near center you should be good. Then schedule an appt whenever you want.

Default 3rd. always get an alignment after TREs. Counting threads just keeps it 'close enough' till

you get to the alignment shop.
