Default You know how many people I've logged pegging 15 CF on VAG!?!?!?

And all of them are still on their first motor with absolutely no problems. Nothing to worry about IMO if you do it once or twice and I'm usually the biggest puss around here about CFs.

Default can someone help me understand correction factors?

OK, assume one cylinder has a high correction factor. You raise overall timing with lemming. The correction for the cylinder goes up an equal amount, which cancels your lemming change.

Don't you still gain hp overall? The timing corrections are done for individual cylinders. One cylinder might be a problem and get corrected even more, but don't you still retain some of the timing advance on most other cylinders?

This might explain where some of the home-brew guys are finding the few extra hp.

I'm waiting to mess with lemming until after I get ecux working. I still need to load win2000 but I don't want to reformat my laptop.

Default i suppose i can give it a shot. i'd have to advance timing like 10 degrees to peg 15 though

i do know ECUx reads KSVs WAY higher than VAG, but i suspect it may just be interpreting the signal differently.

Default First off, probably shouldn't be adding timing if your CFs are very high...

Secondly, your CFs would probably only be high at high RPM WOT so addings timing can increase mid range timing. I actually posted about this recently with a graph of timing before and after adding 2.25 degrees of timing via lemmiwinks....
