Default Resetting the "take car in for service" warning?

I'm at 14+k, took the car in at 5k and 10k. The "service in xxx miles" has been popping up the last week or two, and now it says "service!" when I start the car.

The manual tells you how to reset it, but it also says not to reset it between service intervals. So am I supposed to drive around with the "Service!" alert going on every time I start the car, until I reach 20k? It's not overly annoying (like the stupid "low washer fluid" warning), since it goes away once I shift out of Park, but a bit annoying none the less. Just wondering if I'll goof anything up if I reset it now (since apparently the dealer never set/reset it).

Default RTFP

(RTF Post) -- He's asking if resetting it affects anything other than the message.

From the post, he's clearly already RTFM.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Default Pretty sure you can reset it...

Does the service warning show if your washer bottle is broken?

Default No, I'm guessing it's just based on mileage, so every x miles, it indicates service.

it's often overlooked by the dealer when you take it in for regular service from what I hear. Guess I'll call one of the service advisors just to make sure. Doesn't make sense that they tell you how to reset it, then say not to do it between intervals....but I'm resetting it because it's goofed up anyway (doesn't match up with service intervals)
