Are they balancing the entire PP/Cluch/FW as a unit?

AFAIK, just FW after resurfacing. Who balances PP/Clutch before install?

Since the PP is bolted to the FW, you would want to balance them as a unit.

Default I do on all my aircooled VW motors. In fact,

I have the entire rotating assembly(crank, pully, FW, PP) balanced as a unit. I think a boxer motor is more touchy regarding balancing though. Maybe its a waste of time on a V block.
