reverse problem??

reverse problem??
Alright here's the deal. I am about 400 miles away from my next service and i am experencing what may be a problem with my reverse gear.
All forward cogs work like normal. However when i was just backing in to my driveway, the car made a wierd loud clicking noise like something was slipping. I had realized this last night when i was backing out of a parking spot at the mall. I can still travel in reverse and the car doesn't make the noise when i'm not accelerating but does when i give the gas a light push? help please!!
I'm thinking it may have something to do with the center dif. or the tranny itself. Shift action does not seem to feel any different.
