otherwise if you want the cheaper stuff you can cover almost everything that doesn't benefit much at all and adds unnecessary weight.

I'd like to do it myself or have a shop do that mod for me but if they haven't done it before i'd have to have some idea of what I want

My car is SO quiet, enough so that I can hear more plastic rattles on the inside! All in all, a good investment. It was extremely cheap for me (used to work at a place that sold car audio in college) but for the average person it's quite expensive to dynamat the car.
I did my floorpans, under the seats, all doors, whole trunk floor, trunk ceiling (makes rear subs sound actually GOOD), trunk sides, and rear lid.
Doing the floorpans and doors helps kill noise made by high performance tires.

I mean why fuss over 20 - 50lbs, doesnt our car way like 3thousand something, does 5% make a difference, some of the people on these boards could probably stand to lose up to 100lbs from their beltline, then they wouldnt have to worry about the weight you are complaining about.
