Default Revolver cams - issues with pistons hitting valves - help

To start out, Troy has been involved with the project and is aware of the issue. Here is the deal, my mechanic installed the Revolver cams properly but the piston is still hitting the valves. We are all at a loss as what might be causing this, thinking about doubling up the gaskets to provide the extra space, rather not however.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to solve it? My car has been in the shop way too long just trying to solve this single problem. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Default your about to get flamed that its all your fault.....

for buying them, didnt you see my posts and everyone else that has them complaining about misfires, are you getting misfires or can you actually hear the valves tapping,if its tapping triple check and make sure everything is lined up like the cam tensioner ,timing belt, etc
first time hearing about the valves actually hitting the pistons cause of the cams

Default No misfires...they are touching

The mechanic is turning the engine by hand with a scope, he can see and feel the piston hitting the valves on the way up.

This is new to Troy as well.

As far as the flaming, I am not worried about that. Flame away I guess.

Default One bit of quick info, these are reground cams if I am not mistaken...

and the lift off of a factory reground cam is not going to ever be big enough to do this with proper engine timing. Sounds like the cams are flipped side to side or the timing is incorrect.

Cheers,

Default if they are timed right that is impossible

there is plenty of piston to valve clearance even with the extra lift. Do you have pics of the installed cams (timing marks) with the motor at TDC?

Keep in mind that these are ground on your OEM blanks so the timing events cannot be so far out of spec that you would get piston to valve contact UNLESS they have been installed incorrectly.
