well after a lot of delays finally put them in.
Idle was lumpy, raised it 130rpm and +15 torque idle offset. That cleared it up and seemed to get rid of the misfire codes that popped up.
The bad news is there is a very noticble loss of torque. Like none.
Adding 6.75 degrees of timing with good old lemmiwinks helped a great deal though.
Apperently i should not be experiencing a loss of power like this and Jason at Stasis thought perhaps the cams are not installed right.
Ran the description of how the indexing marks are supposed to line up and my tech says thats exactly how he did it. Counted 16 links, etc.
Gonna run by the shop and have him eyeball the pic jason sent me to verify.
Its possible my tune is not very aggresive timing wise down low, and thats why i needed the timing bump to really wake it up. Dont know at this point.
Its certainly not the plug and grin experience i thought it would be.

Mark @ Autospeed has a picture showing how the driver and passanger cams need to be indexed. I know since ive had to redo mine like three times.
The bently is just WRONG on a few crittical settings.. From bearing caps, to chain link count.
Where are you.. I can lend a hand if you are near by.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/6784/drive_side_original.jpg"></center><p>the driver and pass cams are different..
also the keyway and tooth alignment are differnt on both.
if you swaped the l&r then you crash the valves.. since your car runs, then you have them in the right place.
It could be you have the tooth count off.
Only way to know is if your pull your cover, and count for your self.. or post a picture.
depending on where you start counting, the drivers head, can have 15, or 16..
btw.. for the archives..
The Drivers cam, has the keyway inline with the tooth. (Count from the outside in)
The passaner cam has the keyway with the valley.

We have them in 2 cars here - one with K03's and one with K04's (Bauer). Both cars picked up low end torque and power - only gains, no reduction in power.
Also might want to do a leakdown, if the bar slips during install you will bend valves causing power loss.
