Default Road Hazzard Warranty on Bridgestones

I just got off the phone with a Bridgestone dealer and he will give me a Road Hazzard Warranty on each of my stock tires (3400 miles) for $6 each. Considering that I am replacing my second tire since delivery (2/17) I'm getting it on all 5 tires. I think it's worth the $30. If I knew this when I bought the car I would have done so right away.
Brett Gissel

Do you have a number to call or will any Bridgestone dealer do this?

They should, as long as the tire is new (might as for inspection)

Road "Hazzard"! Where's Boss Hogg when you need him?

Default I assume that they will want to inspect the tires. (long)

I have a side bubble on one tire and need to replace it. I asked about the Road Hazzard Warranty and was told $6 per tire. Since that would only cover the 1 new tire, I asked about getting coverage on the tires I currently have and they said they will do it at $6 per tire.

The way I've been going through tires so far, it's worth it. I currently have 2 original stock tires with about 3400 miles, 1 with about 1200 miles (driver side rear had a nail to close to the sidewall to repair), and the spare with about 100 miles (passenger side front had side bulge). Michigan roads suck!

I think I might keep the "spare" tire on and use my new tire as a spare. Is this a good idea?

I'd start by calling the 800# on the back of the Bridgestone Warranty. The number is their "Tire Service/Customer Satisfaction" number. It is 1-800-356-4644. If they can't do it for you, they should be able to give you the locations of some nearby Bridgestone dealers. I don't know if every Bridgestone dealer will do what mine says they will, but it's worth asking. Then again, I have not actually gotten this warranty yet.

I'll post again when I get more details.
Brett Gissel

I'm not being critical. "Boss Hogg" was a rather colorful character that used to hang around here.
