Default RP:Suspension expert needed - I was thinking H&R Avant "Streets" on Sedan = bye bye understea

Need someone more familiar with the dynamics behind coilovers to answer this for me. First of all, my cirteria for selecting suspension was: 1) spend under $1500, 2) rear bias spring, 3) "streetability" i.e. - occasional track usage (5-7 times a year). So, I was thinking: could you fit a H&R avant "Street" coilover setup on our sedans? Has anyone tried this setup? I posted this earlier this week, and got very little. I am hoping someone from the retail end of things may be able to chime in. In theory, this would be my ideal setup. The 400/450 lbs spring rates would dial out understear on the track. I would be golden when I have to drive grandmother around, and I would be golden for the Chicago winters when I have to raise the ride height. Am I missing something here? Is the dampening set differently for an avant due to the weight of the car, or are the shocks tuned in accordance with spring rates? If I hear nothing, then I guess I will have to be a pioneer in this new frontier. But, with over 3 years worth of posting on this forum, I am sure SOMEONE ELSE has thought of this oh so perfect setup. Love you buddy, you are all beautiful - pAz

Default Like I said before it works, not much for understeer

you can tell there is a little difference (if you notice every tiny weeny little thing like I do) between the two setups, but there is noticeably less squat than the sedan version, again nothing huge, but I can tell. Stick a swar bar on there, you'll still be under $1500, that's what I did and I'm golden. GF didn't even no that anything changed on the car, besides it being 1.5" lower.

BTW it's 450/475 not 400/450

Default Thanks for the imput guys - I may just go with this setup, less the antirolls...

Not a big fan of 'em. I think ANY rear bias has to be a world of difference compared to stock front bias! Hopefully I will not regret my decision for these over Ultras... only time, and $1300 will tell.
