have any of you glued the bumper support to the bumper while NOT on the car? i've been driving around with my A4 front for about a week or two, finally got off the support from the S4 bumper and thought i'd just glue the support onto the bumper and then take it to the shop to have painted. the bumper support doesnt seem to sit perfectly flush with the reiger bumper, so i'm assuming i'll have to put some weights on it to make sure it all adheres. also, for where the long bolts that connect your bumper to your car go, did you have to drill holes in the reiger bumper in order to gain access to the holes? for people that used the mesh, did you just cut, bend, and glue it onto the bumper? or is there a better way to do this?

You gotta glue it while it's on the car. Reason is you can't align the bumper support on the reiger bumper properly without it being on the car. Reiger takes a good deal of patience to align properly.
Just get it painted and work patiently on the install. pre fit everything and eyeball everything before you secure anything. make sure you accomodate holes for the long bolts for the reinforcement bar before securing the bumper with glue.
These are some tips just off the top of my head.
good luck
