It's a satin aluminum-looking finish.

Default I swapped the chrome one from the original grille to the RS4. Pretty easy...looks good.
The one that comes with the grille is unpainted/primer. I don't think it is meant to go unpainted. IMO

Default umm pretty sure it's meant to match the RS4 brushed AL mirrors
and nearly matches the silver paint perfectly IMHO.

could be, I liked the look of the chrome ring, matches Audi rings.

Default I had my trim painted to match the color of my car...just like a bunch of other people..if u want to
