RS4 oil baffle plate
Has anyone tried putting a rs4 baffle plate into a regular 2.7L block?
I imagine i would have to drill & tap some threads, just not sure if there were special boses casted into the block already???

i don't think anyone here knows if it bolts up to an S4 Block...
But both upper and lower oil supply are different:
S4 -->

If my memory serves me correctly , Hoppen used to include it in
the stg 4 or 5 and was part of the kit picture but it is gone now. I would assume calling them and asking for Mike would shed some light on it.

no, i am not sure.
I havent seen any pics of the rs4 baffle. It just looks to be a large span to have a piece of sheet metal hanging out there un-supported if it were bolted to the pan. just my thinking.

I think I origianlly asked a poor question.
The oil baffle that i was refering to is described to prevent the oil coming out of the oil drain backs from the cylinder head landing on the spinning crankshaft & rods.
I remember reading about such, specific to the rs4...

I always assumed the baffle on the Rs4 was the actual upper oil pan, not a sep. piece.
and in that case, not adaptable to the S4 since the Rs4 has different oil returns and pickups.
