Default rs4 TOTAL conversion

hello there fellow audi tuners, i'm wondering if anyone has fully converted a s4 avant in to an rs4. i'm talking more about the body styling than the performance. like the fenders , rearbumper, doors, side skirts, oem stuff, the works. hit me back, have a friend who wants to import one and i'm trying to talk him out of wasting money. i'm thinking that even with all the body mods and modding the engine it would still be cheaper and alot less of a pain in the *** to import one. any links or photos to present my case would be appreciated and drooled over. todd

Default Hey man....I grew up with Gabe Taylor, and he says...

"your car might be faster than my Montero, but I'm gonna borrow Tara's truck and crush your RS4."

hehe Good luck with the upgrades man.

Default a real rs4 might actually be cheaper

I looked into the costs of importing + legalizing a rs4 a while ago. I didn't find any direct info on how much it costs to do, but guessed it would take 25k or so. you can get them overseas for 50-60k pretty easily. That would put you at 75-80k when it's rolling in the us.
a s4 avant: 30k
I think I read the body kit for that is like 12k.
42k.
mods: 20k?
62k.
Now your friend is at 62k, and has a hell of a car, but not a true rs4. A modded s4 avant is sick as hell, but it's still just a modded s4 avant. a rs4 is a one off, hand made beast that isn't really going to lose value that much, or nearly as fast. His 80k purchase will still be worth 50k+ in a number of years where the modded s4's value will drop pretty substantially I'd say.

I'd say to run the rs4 if he can afford it. the few that come up for sale here sell pretty quickly it seems for 80-110k and you would assume they would continue to do so.

just my opinion. nice s6, I think I may have seen you driving recently around north county. the few tuned avants you see stick out like sore thumbs.....
