Will This be in the US?
Nice pictures. After owning a cuple of BMW's (635, M5) I will never own another performance car from BMW. Both were absolutely the most expensive to maintain of any cars.
I own several VW's and a TT. I am so impressed with all of these cars that I think a RS6 would be a very, very special car.
I hope they would have it at the Chicago Auto Show, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Why would they use an auto?
Doesn't... make any sense. I mean the RS4 was rightfully a standard transmission.
Maybe both are available? Must be.
Or at least, I'll have to believe that, to be able to sleep at night.
Otherwise.... yessiree, that is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen.
