rumor has it that a VAG tweak can activate the window up/down via the key fob. true?

get in the car, turn on ACC position (or engine on)
Assuming windows are closed...
press and hold down the front windows to lower them. When the are all the way down, hold for another second or two. Let off. Do the same thing for them in the up direction.
Now see if you have one touch up and down for either/both of the front windows.
I know there is a way that they can be deactivated and holding the buttons like the above should reset it. I'm sure there's an official write up somewhere, but when it happens to me, I just hold the buttons for a longer time in both directions, and then it works again.
Please try and let us know if it works for you.

hey mark,
I doubt you remember me... you were helping tony and dave with my car when I was there on a saturday getting ready to drive back home (right after your turkey accident). anyways I just tried that and same thing... no auto up-only auto down. maybe it's a my 2000 thing?

what color car? was it just a tune, or was other stuff done as well? I seem to recall one car that I helped wire something inside the cabin - but if it was just a tune, those seem to blend into one another, especially from 6 months ago ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I would expect 2000's to work the same - that's odd. perhaps try it more in both directions

yup.. you helped with the wiring for the switch for the race file on my black s4. I'll keep trying with this window thing... maybe when I come back up there for a re-tune you can help me out again...haha.

if you have access to a VAG-COM here's the link from Ross-Tech scroll down to 35-Central Locks [near the borrom] and follow the step-by-step.

sure enough, it's listed in that tech article below, although I overlooked it. I had my dealer code this up for me on both Audis, so I never owned the car without the 1-touch up. ahahahahha
Nonetheless, if it does stop working, or doesn't work the first time, then hold the buttons - I swear!
