S4=2 Supercharged 350z=0
I was out for a drive... and noticed a sharp looking red 350z convertible. I'd seen it around before... it had a big honkin' IC up front and the tell-tale extra 'bump' in the center of the hood. It was supercharged.
So I pull up quickly behind - thinkin' maybe he'll go, maybe not. We come up to a 4-way stop, I pull up beside him. I give it a little juice, but not an overt challenge (no eye contact). I can hear him stomp it on a rolling start in 2nd ... I hear the supercharger wailing (kinda stange sounding actually) - thinking to myself 'I'm gonna get creamed'. But hold on... I reciprocate and pull on him in 2nd then 3rd to ~50mph (or so). Then we slow to another 4-way stop. I glance over... this time the older fella is smiling. Ok... I'll take some of that action! I drop at 4k and pull cleanly away... his supercharger screaming - but he can't catch on me.... I'm up 2 lengths by 4k in 3rd again. DAMN! By the time we hit traffic.. we're both smiling - he drives away - open his window and gives me a huge thumbs up. Wow... invigorating. obtw... I did this only because it was a wide and safe 2-lane road - free of traffic and people.

Unless you get one of those nifty manifold plate lta intercoolers.....
The verdic is still out over supercharger vs turbo charged efficiency. You'll hear different arguments from everyone. There's many positives and negatives about both.
